Senuma (previously New Tab Folders) is a new tab workspace for Chrome. Senuma 2.0 works on your device without an account.
What Senuma stores
Your Spaces, links, Modes, settings and restore points are stored in your browser on your device. Images you add as wallpapers are also stored locally and are not included in backup files. Senuma 2.0 does not send this information to the developer.
What Senuma does not do
- No analytics, advertising or tracking.
- No account, sign-in or cloud synchronization.
- No location collection.
- No scripts or content processing on websites you visit.
- No sale or transfer of personal data.
Optional browser access
Senuma asks for optional access only when you enable the related feature. You can turn that feature off again.
- Bookmarks: When you choose to import browser bookmarks, Senuma reads them once, never modifies them, and releases the permission after the import.
- Tabs and sessions: When you enable recently closed pages, Senuma reads that list on your device so it can display and reopen entries. The list is not stored or transmitted by Senuma.
Requests made by your browser
Searches are sent to your browser's default search engine or to a provider you explicitly choose. To display a saved site's icon, your browser may request that site's icon. If you enable the optional Google icon service, Google receives the site names needed to return those icons.
New Tab Folders 1.x cloud data
Senuma 2.0 does not contact, read, modify or synchronize with the cloud service used by New Tab Folders 1.x. Records previously stored by that legacy service may remain there until a deletion request is processed. To request deletion, contact us at the address below.
Removing your local data
Removing the extension removes the data Senuma stored in your browser. You can export a local backup first from Settings.
Changes
If a future version begins collecting or transmitting additional information, this policy and the Chrome Web Store disclosure will be updated before that behavior ships.
